Surving the Empty Nest- I Am More than a Mom

What to do when the nest is empty- CRAFT

I have been blessed with amazing kids.  I just can't believe that they are all old enough to leave home and begin to make their way into this crazy world!  If I would have known how difficult it was going to be to watch them leave home, I may have reconsidered having three kids in three and a half years.  They are all leaving at once and this momma doesn't like it one bit! There is only one thing to do to take my mind off of the "quiet" that is now my house.  CRAFT!!
Today I decided to let Madison know that even though she has moved out to go to college, I still think about her all the time (actually she probably already knows this!!).

This card was created using a couple of my favorite colors, brown and blue.  The tree was cut from the Jubilee Cricut cartridge, while the flowers were made using one of the oldest Cricut cartridges that I own, Accent Essentials.
The sweet little birds were cut using the print and cut feature on the Silhouette Cameo cutting machine. They were inspired by this "cupcake" from Cupcake Inspirations.  When I look at this picture, I see little birds looking for their mom and thought it would be fun to make a "thinking of you" card.
The digi stamp is from Anne Bodil.  It was colored in Photoshop and  inked for extra pop!!
I am entering this card in the following challenges:
 Cupcake Inspirations- Challenge #249
FCCB- All About You/Favorite Colors
Pile It On- Thinking of You
Pumpkin Spice- Flowers
Crafty Ribbons Challenge- Anything Goes

  3. Cindy, this card is as sweet as the lovely person who inspired it! :o) I can't wait for Madison to receive it. Your spring scene is gorgeous and I love your color combination. As I've said before, but cannot resist saying again: you and Madison are so blessed to have one another! :o) I hope you have a wonderful Tuesday! (Also, heartfelt thanks for the early March info... the timing was perfect to create for her and her mom. I'll link up my Tuesday project on Saturday! I hope they like it.) :o)

My oldest son's room is now my craft room! Keeps me busy but still miss him. Thank goodness for tweets/texts/skypes/Facetimes and old fashioned phone calls! lol
